Got this at a bank when I was dumping off some coins.

I don't know much about paper currency. I was wondering about its rarity, worth, and what the stamp on the bill is from? Any info would be appreciated thank you.

It would have been stamped from a 1st day of issue in April 13th of 1976, it is also one of the top3 of the rare of its series usually worth between $15-$30 in the condition you have

Only 640,000 issued.
$75 if it were in EF (retail value per 'The Official Red Book'). With five zeroes, you might even get more for that bill if you could get into a game of Liar's Poker.
Don....

Is the kind of thing that appreciates over time?

Is 76 the first year the $2 bill came out?
