While out in New Mexico, I found an atlatl point. Tip was broken. Showed it to an expert in NM. He said those tips can break when they hit animal bone. To me, that's more interesting than an intact point.

another cool thing to think about with broken pieces, especially when they have impact fractures showing.

Ouch! Broken is sure a lot better than nothing. Man, look at that bare dirt! Reminds me of the good old days.
