500 Box of halves 1 Gold?

Went through a box of Half's tonight. Found a Bicentennial S and a gold colored half? Its definitely not real gold (too light)...but does anyone have any idea what it is? Has anyone else ever found one?

I get these all the time they are promotional coins, some come with stickers on them, some are counter stamped. No extra value but fun to give as tips or to kids. LP

It most likely is 100% real gold...plated.

Thanks all...I appreciate the replies. Wasn't quite sure what I had. So they are not put out by the US Mint ...but by third parties correct?
