But next time I believe we will try to locate where Mrs Rickert Lived in 1875

which may be a bit complicated. The Trees are in a Hollow
and the Fields tower over them.
seems hard to believe the house was in the hollow, but it's the only place with signs of anything

I like the Broach !

Nicely done,,
Good luck with finding some old coins and relics from Mrs. Richert's place.
Is the store location on the other side of the property line?
I would think that a few Indian Head Pennies may have been dropped in that area??

The brooch is coolio... has it been slawed ?
If so... the grapes at least made it :P

Well done.

Keep working that spot Jeff. An 1875 house would put you right on the money for some seated silver. Good luck finding it, I know you will!

Steve

Sounds like you might want to take a screen with you next time. Sift some of that dirt they're digging up. ;)

If it were me, I'd attempt to relate your search for the house to the stream bed. They would have to tie, back then.

Store has yielded a few wheats but the church across the street has been my honey hole. Wheats and buffs by the dozens, Indians, barbers, flying eagle, mercs, silver quarters, v nicks, and war nicks and a Canadian large cent. Over 50 hunts there to date and an album full of relics and coins
