A few B'more relics

Got out for 2h this afternoon for some B'more digs. The United Railways and Electric Co. started in Baltimore around 1899. The .22 rimfire is from Western Cartridge Co, which began using this headstamp in 1910. Pretty sure the 'stone' in the gilded mounting is glass; looks like it was part of a pin.

Thanks L-D. I found one of these back in the 80's with a Whites detector. Put it in a coin holder. Eventually (sorry to say) someone broke in and snatched the coin album and that's the last I saw of it and the other items I'd dug or purchased. Thinking on it now it's been about 30 years since I found one. Nice to have it again.

Thanks Randy. Looks like a "turn-of-the-century" relic, maybe. Deep, but the flat button was down about 11 inches. Too bad I toasted the button beyond recognition with lemon juice....when will I learn?

Thanks ATW. I agree. Aluminum tokens can be a little nasty out of the ground but the others often fair better than wheats.
