Back to the river - hyped after my Barber dime. Alas, no silver today - but found my first 2 nickles, some pennies and a dime.

Nice gilt cuff link, fishing lure, first squarish nail (horseshoe type?) A load of BIG nails, just showing a few.

The cartridges were found in a 3'x3' area - All are different, and if you notice at the photo bottom, one was slipped over a nail head. Old collection?

Then the buckle - I really looked for the other part - no luck. Perhaps Military?

Great day in the sun by the river! HH all!

You have a pretty rare find. It's an 1840's era militia buckle. the tongue part of a 2 piece buckle. Google "1840's militia buckle" and learn more. Congrats on a great find!
