That's really a cool piece of history, I'll be watching for the pictures of the contents like the silver plate and what coinage.

One 1652 pine tree shilling was in the box. The only thing they said about it was that "it's in even better shape than Abe's."
There really was one in the box and it was probably handled by Paul Revere or Samuel Adams. There were fingerprints on a silver plate. Is that not the coolest thing ever?

Yeah then I sent em some good pics and they rewrote the article. "Well we were wrong, not quite as nice as Abe's"! But still pretty nice. Lol

That pine tree coin was already a 143-year-old relic when Paul Revere and Samuel Adams buried their's lol. So lucky dude. :laughing7:
Can't wait to see what other treasures are inside. Hopefully a messege to America telling us to stay strong and keep fighting tyranny :D

I don't know yet, but if I were to guess the coins besides the pine tree, I would guess...

Sommer islands copper
Elephant token
State coppers
1792 1/2 disme
1792 cent
1793 half cent
1795 silver dollar

Forgive me if I have any denomination or dates wrong. I'm doing this off of memory;)

If one is a 1793 chain cent that would be sick too. It was the perfect time period for them to have thrown one in there.

Where can we get a detailed inventory of the specific coins found in this thing - is anybody else getting frustrated at not being
able to see the coins in detail ?
