4 bucks. I don't buy art, unless I think it would look cool on my wall, and is dirt cheap.

It says "RICHMOND" on the back, in pencil, probably by the artist. Richmond Castle, in England maybe.

I judged it has a bit of age by the yellowed taped stickem that held the back on the frame.

Is it worth at least $87,690?

Probably worth at least twice that amount or you could hang it on the wall & enjoy.

It might be a quick sketch done by the artist for a painting. Initials look like H.H.?

To me it kind of has the look of sketches drawn by American or other p.o.w's. I believe the Germans even held some captives close to old castles. I'm curious about that Insignia drawn in the lower left corner. There is some info on the web that sheds a little light on the subject of p.o.w. sketches.

I think you're referring to Colditz castle which was in fact a prison during ww2.it was mainly for trouble makers

Looks like outsider art of some sort. Prisoner like tamrock said or maybe an intellectually challenged person.

Theres one on ebay right now for $86,590 so your pricing is pretty spot on. I think it says 'Richmond' ....not *Richman :laughing7:

Nice find
