I just got back about an hour ago on a little bike ride and really didn't see anything until I got in the neighborhood when I saw this hawk swoop ahead and land on the roof of a house. I saw it caught a little garter snake for a meal. It was like 4 gulps and the hawk took the whole snake down it;s throat. The prairie dog of course had to holler, "You better eat your greens also"

Haha. Isn't it great to see nature and get to save it to share and remember later? We live in an amazing time.

Amazing for many of us and not so much for others. When I enlarged the first picture I can see this poor little snake is alive and has his head up, all beat and bloody. Not a very amazing day for him I'm thinking ???.
