Went to a house built in 1850 yesterday. I know the owner and when the circumstances are right, I can hunt his properties. Well his renter booked and left everything behind. I saw him at the house and he gave me the green light. I did the back yard so as to not get in his way. Only found clad, and noticed that there is about 4 inches of soil covering 8 inches of gravel/sand mix over most of the back yard. I ended going back to the old orphanage site (where I pulled a 42 Quarter on Friday) and pulled the purple jaguar tootsie toy identicle the the one I dug Wednesday evening. Gotta love them Tootsie toys.
This morning I went back to do the front yard at the 1850's house. Had better luck today, pulled a 43 Merc, 3 wheats (1924, 44, & 45), 2 harmonica reeds, $1.21 clad, and a nice little hunk of crap. I hit a few other old sites and then went home. When I cleaned up that hunk of crap it came out to be a nice little figurine. A sorceress "Amber" & her Dragon.
Thanks for reading and hope you have a dirt fishing tale to tell soon...
