The coins are great but that silver link is easily my favorite. That's definitely a copper Duit coin. My gosh that's an incredible site. Dig it all then start turning up the thick iron....then find the trash pit....then keep on digging and digging and digging. That's a nice early site and they weren't poor!

I posted this in another one of your threads:

So, what are we thinking is the overall picture of this site? If I'm not mistaken, you found a WW1 U.S. button, modern silver, and all the old stuff. Have you checked any old maps to see what was there historically and more recently? Two CENTURIES of finds is surreal.

There must have been many somethings there over the years.

The head was over to the left, and I suspected a similar coin to the W3. I did an overlay and it was a match. I placed them side by side for comparison.

Get those darn Barbers and Mercs out of the way to punch down to some more colonial goods! Another incredible hunt man...That link is killer and those coppers are sweet. I seriously can't wait to see what tomorrow brings for you. A site like that should produce a lot.... You already know they had $$, so I'd expect you'll be hitting that area for a while.

I'm interested in the cast pewter Spanish coin, if its two sided its an early counterfeit.

Nice to see you are still in the zone. Congrats on those incredible finds. :occasion14: I really love that FE, it has to be in the best shape of all I've seen posted over the past 3 years.
