I believe this is a partial tooth of some sort. Maybe one for Harry Pristis.

Good images. I can't do more than guess. This object appears to be a severely beach-polished megalodon tooth. The parallel crazing of the convex surface suggests megalodon enameloid. The channel across that face may be the basal groove for the bourlette. The bulbous end of the object may be what is left of the root. A Florida find?
