I wasn't on the board in 2011 and most of 2012 - so in 2011 I was doing a lot of mineral collecting. Didn't currently own a MD. Went to the Crater of Diamonds on Arkansas and in 3 trips found three very small diamonds.
2012 - Went to Maine collecting minerals. Found a huge Morganite beryl crystal - about the size of a soda can. Very dark pink with clear glassy areas throughout.
2013- Exceptional year - January 13 I got my first (and only) gold coin, a 1774 British Guinea from a beach. I had started CRH'ing in November 2012, and nothing really, really good till this past fall when I scored FIFTEEN Morgan and Peace dollars from tellers and a "junk box" I found. One of the Peace dollars was the 1928 Philadelphia key date! BTW the last month has been skunk city. Last 5 boxes of halves have been zonkers. Oh well.
