Black Tail Buck

I took this picture of this Black Tail Buck on my old property. Back in '85 I had about 70 cows on some ranch property we owned, then my ex wife had the property all to her self, and she sold it. I have friends that live near by, and these deer were across the fence on the old place, so I got a picture of them. At one time I would have shot that buck, but I don't even buy a tag anymore.

I have heard a lot of people say the older they get, the less inclined they are to hunt. I never got into it even when younger. Nice looking deer.

Yeah, The modern sportsman of today has changed quite a bit. Hunting season here in Colorado looks more like a modern army in transit on the highways anymore. Gone is the little horse trailer pulled by a beat up pickup and in is the big flat bed rig loaded with atv's, all hooked up to a truck that could pull the ears off of superman.
