Hello everyone,

As temperatures are rising so are the weeds... I've been working my woods permission every chance I get before they get to thick with plant life and today I came up with another cool keeper bucket list silver, a Mexican Reale.

Not sure if it is a 1/2 or 1 Reale, I show a picture of size comparison with a United States Dime.

I also believe it is 1844, see the close-up photo of what it looks like 44.

Other finds were a few small buckles, horse tack, and clad.

Enjoy the photos and Happy Hunting!

Could be a first republic half real. It's definitely a long way from home. Nice score.

Nice going! I haven't found any Spanish/Mexican silver dated that late and actually the earlier pieces come up much more often. I think you have an entry for our club finds of the month in the foreign silver category. JMHO it's a half real. The one real pieces that I've seen have a larger diameter than a dime or even a penny.

Cool! Thanks for reply! I'm trying to find some information on the Internet it looks like a P follows the date and I'm trying to figure out makers mark initials, kind of hampered by how worn the coin is.
