I found 3 or 4 stacked together at a house that was a temporary headquarters for Gen. OO Howard just prior to the Battle of Peachtree Creek. I am at work now, but I will see if I can get a pic up when I have time. I did see a pic of a large stack of them in a relic book years ago, and they were IDed as a makeshift water filter, but I have my doubts about that.

Heres a few bullets first .54cal. Burnsides, next .52cal. Spencers. Anybody else ever find cases stuck together, a few of my friends have found Burnside cases stuck together, any idea why?

Ahhhh, something I can relate to , the Lord has blessed me with many Spencer Finds from several areas ( None from the PeachTree Creek area tho No Burnside's either.

Still they are a joy to find. Esp, still whole 'Spencer's' , I have got the tops of many Burnside's but if I recall right only 1 complete cartridge & it's bullet is in backwards.

I love your carbine bullet & Cartridges as well esp where they came from , getting stuff out of that area is Hard Work these Days.

P.S.
I dug a NY Staff that looks almost Identical to your avatar right off Peachtree Battle Rd.

It was/is complete tho I dislodged the face while removing the 'Hated' English ivy that covered it , I later glued the Face & the front Rim back on to the backside , since it is a pretty common button .

It being from Peachtree Creek the area I was raised to age 13 makes it priceless to me.:icon_thumleft:
