Carved slate gorget stones?

Hello all,

Researching supposed Native Indian artifacts from the late 1800s/early 1900s called the Lenape Stone and the Hammond Tablet, featuring carvings of mammoths, turtles, and other symbols. Both are generally considered to be frauds, although some of the pictographs are similar to those of late Plains Indians.

Has anyone come across anything similar, real or fake, such as carved slate gorgets or pictographs on anything of a similar nature? Can't find any examples like these anywhere. Any ideas? Thank you!

That first one with the mammoth looks pretty cheesey to me. I have “Ohio Slate Types” by Converse. Dozens of gorgets pictured, many from very old collections. Just a couple have incised lines like a criss cross. I’d think if there were any with animals and etc. they would have turned up and been pictured.
