Found this today, started to clean it up and then saw the hole in it.
Should I....
1. Not worry about it, its only a counter weight or decorative post top?
2. Continue to clean it up and display it with the rest of my cannon ball collection?
3. Leave the house now, shut the door and never come back?

Its 5.11lbs and 3-1/2"

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated..

Any gunpowder that may be in it, if it is indeed a cannon shell, would be long destroyed if the fuse is missing.
But if you think it's still "live" toss it in a bucket of water for a few days. Wet gunpowder cannot burn.
