Bought this painting because of the dark brown background and it reminds me of the old Masters technique. The detail in the matches and the ashes is pretty neat. I have no idea of what the subject is about...a ruler, a book, a cigarette, and maybe they are on a grand piano? Anyway, does anyone recognize the signature? The frame was worth the $12.99 until I noticed the corner was chipped off.
