Love that coin weight Rob, and I've recovered a similar one here in Virginia. Those with the upright hand like yours are from the Antwerp area (Belgium or the Netherlands), and it probably dates to the late 1500s to early 1600s. The "F" represents the maker who was probably either Hans Foncq or Benaert Foncq. Either the "H" or "B" should be on the left hand side but it appears to have been worn off. Very cool find!

That's wicked cool. I love the tiny hand. It almost reminds me of those cave drawings with all the hand prints. I've only found one coin weight myself. Do they turn up often for you?

Good question, it depends on the type of site. In general, no more than a couple a year.

Almost the same weight i had a couple weeks ago, Rob. :icon_thumleft: Look like the coins this weight was for travelled all across the world with Bills weight found in Virginia.
