Colonial site finds can anyone ID oval item?

Went back to my colonial site in central va found alot of great and interesting buttons and items pertaining to the 1830s just wanted to share and also see if someone can help IDING the the oval item I believe it is a rosette of some sorts??? HH 20160307_191245.jpg 20160307_191238.jpg

sweet stirrup man heck of a nice find! not sure about the oval piece but don't think it is a rossette

Nice idea say yall nailed it just weird it was less than 3 feet away from the stirrup but I found the va 4 virginia button that is on my profile picture less than 15 feet away from the stirrup. Thanks everyone hopefully more will be dug preserved and shared only time will tell . HH

I would say yes and probably CS usage .looks allot like number 1 in first pic to me 001.JPG 002.JPG

I'd like to say yes I don't really know how to date or identify stirrups but I think yall are right or on the right track thanks for all the input like I was saying it wasn't but a few feet where I had dug the confederate 1830s to 1850s alberts va 4 virginia button wich has been one of my favorite finds considering va is my home state.
