Hello All. High-grading my cool crap collection this PM and ran across a forgotten Ford advertising print plate dug in January 2014. I recalled digging a similar Ford print plate from the same site a few weeks ago. Wallah! They fit together!

Also discovered what appears to be a 1920-something date on the bottom corner of the smaller piece...still cannot find anything on Cobb & Vaughan Ford on Fairbanks Ave in Winter Park, FLA doggone it.

Good luck in 2016 and thanks for the view. C9

BTW it was very difficult to get that last pic.

That is awesome! The plate is cool enough but finding the missing piece almost 2 years later? That is awesome! I lived in Altamonte Springs and Casselberry for a few years, wish I were detecting back then.

I love it when a relic comes together! I keep trying to assemble my CW artillery shell fragments (insert eyes rolling here...) :laughing7:

Does the 7 digit phone number on your plate indicate post-1958? I don't recall when they started that...

Bramblefind, dang nice info pull...now I got something to talk about!

Still need to find the actual ad for the vintage but I think DC Matt has it...post 1958.

I have been looking for an era Orlando directory but they all cost money, the local newspapers too. If ya got any tips on how to get free business, phone, and newspaper electronic access I am interested.

Many thanks for the timely reply and Good Luck in '16...and the rest of '15...C9

Hello DCMatt. I looked and I think you are correct...I am seeing the same. Maybe not as old as I was hoping but that is useful information. Thanks for the great reply and Good Luck with shell...C9

cool find(s)! I've got a buddy here that found two halves of a broken flint spear point in a creek a half mile apart form each other. they were a perfect fit!
