Such gatherings for something as niche as md'ing related items (GPR, etc... as you say) are less and less as the decades roll on. Just like "club" meetings too (which only exist in the very largest cities nowadays).

Because un-like the old days (pre internet), the only way you could learn of the "latest greatest", was to go such conventions and expo's. Or go to club meetings to see what other hobbyists are using, and how/if they like the pro's & cons, etc... But these days, all such data (peer reviews, site demo's, etc... ) are all done on line. Heck, you can even dial up youtube and see someone doing comparisons side by side with competing machine, or doing a live dig on what you just heard in the audio, etc.. All such things you used to have to join a club, or go to a convention or expo. to see.

Thus not sure if any such manufacturer conventions for such niche things as you list even go on these days. Maybe.
