Corn field finds; so happy to detect in New England again!

Just returned from Florida, where the metal detecting was difficult, to say the least. I must have dug a thousand pulltabs and amassed jars of clad... fun, yes, but no relics to be found.

So it was with great pleasure I headed out detecting with my sister (her first time out) to the cornfield, and it did not disappoint. Along with the old nails and knick knacks, I found a cufflink, an old child's ring, a wheatie from 1919, a dated crotal bell from 1878, and a really old copper, I'm pretty certain from 1749. It says Georgius II rex, and Britania on it. I'm so happy, just wanted to share. I'm not sure yet, but I think my sis may be hooked now too, lol, so I'll have someone to detect with from now on.

Yes, I think she was bit by the bug. Even though she didn't find anything too great today, she was there when i dug the George II copper and seemed as excited as me.
