Could these be spoke shaves?

These were found in different locations, but both were in creeks in North Texas. They have a similar spokeshave-like feature, but I am unsure if this is a common natural formation, or if it is intentionally done. I have found spokeshaves before, but they are thinner than these two. Thanks in advance.

Interesting. The smaller one appears to be quite thick, as you stated. I’m not seeing a lot of evidence of artifact.
The white one absolutely has a spoke shave-esque pocket to it. I can picture it being used. I’m just not sure it has proof of being shaped. I’d vote NO, on them both. Hopefully folks with more experience will chime in soon. Thanks

I’ve got a similar piece, never really known what it was. Not sure why they would have such a deep removal. Unfortunately I picked it up before I really had a grasp of artifacts I have no idea if it came from a site or out of a flower bed outside a restaurant.

Yes, this is very similar to the large white one. I went through Lar Hothem's green book and found several image sof tools that have a similar feature, but he identifies them as shaft scrapers. He also has spoke shave examples, but I would say if these are anything, they would be closer to a shaft scraper than a spoke shave.

Just going by what I’ve found. They look to be what I call test rocks. In other words they were worked on but never finished due to something wasn’t working for the maker. Kind of a preform but tossed instead. I just call them worked chert when I find them.

I think you may have some spoke shave activity there but not all.
