Could this be a small thumb scraper?

After all this rain, of course it was a good, cool day to take a creek walk. Found this on a gravel bar, the same where a few other pieces have been found. But, if you know me much from my other posts, I have a hard time with confusing creek chatter with worked edges. If it is anything, I think it would be a small thumb scraper.

Dallas County, Texas.

Itā€™s been worked. So you have something. Good eye to catch that!

right size and shape, poorly crafted
Gotta start somewhere! šŸ˜Š I joke that some of these holy men that did these petroglyphs were shite artists! But it wasnā€™t like you had an eraser.

Some of these scrapers were arrowheads that broke and they worked them down to use as other tools. Letā€™s hope that he wasnā€™t done working on this scraper.

The first pic looks like itā€™s complete, second and third Iā€™m having a hard time figuring out if itā€™s broken or just the lighting.

Interesting. Thank you everyone. A poorly made tool sparks my imagination. I wonder if they were learning or if it was made in haste during a storm or frigid weather. Other artifacts that I have found in the same gravel bar and along the same creek have what I would describe as hastily made or clunky craftsmanship to them. The only piece I have found that was one you could describe as finely crafted compared to this one was another thumb scraper. I made a post about that one a while back, but I will post an image here for comparison. Both were found just about 200 feet away from each other.
