There have been at lot of sturgeon caught this month,you are not supposed to take them out of the water if you can't remove the hook cut the line,an Indian fella didn't know that so CLICK and off he swam,looks pretty prehistoric.

Finally got two after a six day nada,this one was about 7 pounds just as I hit the shudder he did a few tail slaps right back in the river.:laughing7:

This merganser ain't taking 13 chicks on her back anymore..

She swam close to shore so they could dive for minnows.




The plumage on this heron is AWESOME.

Actually, those kind are ok. Wouldn't hurt them. Those chicks got big fast.

Strange you say that,there was an Indian fella there(same one who caught the sturgeon)said "A lot of people in my country die from snake bites".

Garters emit the foulest stink!

Yes, great photos. I hope Darky is ok.

My three hens say they are "wildlife" and need special treatment. They got a pound of blueberries, 1/4 pound of cold macaroni salad and a lemon danish today.

The are NOT spoiled.

Nice pics! I have eaten smoked sturgeon, a neighbor caught ( in Washington, years ago ). Tastes like alligator.

Those sturgeon are wild looking. Once someone caught one up at Lake Erie. Great pics and video, Chris.
