So i had another thread, i'm now posting the results of going through 300 ten piece peso coins looking for 1992-1995 Bi-metal silver. I didn't find a single one, the locals don't know about this but the government sure does and they have to have been removing them from circulation. I guess the only way to really get free gold and silver is by MDíng the beach which i can't get the courage to go do :/

300 is a very small sample size; try 30,000 then tell us.

go to a small town outside cancun in the mountains and ask for all the pesos they got.

Yeah, you need to go through a lot more coin than that. My results are around 1-2/1000 or so.

I thought I read an article where the Mexican government took tons and tons of their currency to a company that culled and sorted out all the precious metal coins about 5 years ago. That would mean that the likelihood of finding anything would be fairly slim.
