Metal Detecting
I arrived at the site early this morning and wasn't finding much at all except for 12 wheat pennies, a toy soldier, and a few pieces of clad. I only had permission to hunt the front yard and was told to stay out of the backyard. When the owner drove up I started my pleading with him to let me detect the backyard. He smiled and said go ahead.

I was about run out of yard to put my search coil over when I got a nice 75 ID reading and a clean high audio tone. I popped a 1954 Rosie. With my silver streak still alive, I decided to head for home.

On my way home I spotted a church school and decided to give it a few swings to see what's there. I didn't find anything but some clad coins so I decided to call it a day.

This was my 34th hunt for the year and my silver coin total for the year now stands at 105. All done without getting skunked on a single hunt.

Thanks! I wish that everyone would list the detector that they're using and the settings used.

I like that drummer boy toy soldier!!! You definitely had a good day!!!

Thanks! I like finding old toys, because it means that kids were about and they lose silver coins.

Congratualtions on the long silver streak, keep it going! :occasion14:

105 silvers in 34 hunts simply amazing streak tabman. :notworthy: Keep it up, I'm rooting for you. :icon_cheers:
Shoot... I am happy to be at silver no.8 for the year.

Hey Tabman, are those Killer B's headphones? Can you really hear the machine hum with em?

105 silver ....... wow . Thats more then I found all last year . Congrats

Nice silver & other stuff.
I really like the lead soldier. So far I've only found two.

You finally hunted that place! I think it deserves another thorough gridding - there has to be some Barbers and Indians there. And where there are Barbers and Indians - the chance of a gold coin is in your favor!

This is not the place you're thinking about. It's has about the same history though. I may go and sweet talk that girl at the other old home place. I'd like give that place a good going over.
