went back to my trashy field site that I have hunted at least 15 times, and once again I dug trash after trash. Got a 1928 wheat, then trash, trash, trash..............then BAM! got a screaming 07-48 on the etrac, looked down and saw a big black rim sticking halfway out of the ground. It was a 1906-D barber half dollar! It has several plow dings, but I am NOT complaining. Last years first silver was also a half dollar, whats the chances??

Dings or not, that is a beautiful coin. To me, silver looks much better with a bit of patina than shiny, and yours has that look.
