I have not had much time lately, but my new detector arrived on Tuesday and I have been like a dog on a chain .... dying to get out and have been using every free moment to detect (see my post from earlier today). So, after work, dinner and putting the kids to bed I headed out. It was past dark and I decided I would dig one more target, which would prove to be an awesome end to my day!

The hole provided five wheats, with dates ranging from 1920-1942. While this may not be an impressive haul, it was a milestone for me as a newbie. My first cache and oldest coin to date.

It's gonna be a great summer! IMG_20160616_215251.jpg

Great haul. Silver is right around the corner. Technically it's a pocket spill (a cache would be an intentionally hidden and typically larger amount of $) and I figured I'd differentiate those before someone else does it in an impolite way. I don't mean any offense!

That is a nice find any day. Congratulations. Hit that area good from different directions. There is quite possibly silver there also. Thank you for sharing.

I five wheat spill would be a good hole for anyone, Sweet!! And yes wheats and silvers do like to hang out together. Could be some Mercs or Rosie's in that same area.
