Back out today detecting around a deserted farm and found my first Large Cent (1838). Also found an old Fletcher's Castoria bottle, some clad coins, an old horse bridle ring, 2 small buttons, an old file, a couple of rifle shell casings, and some old iron farming implements. Am wondering what the large iron ring might of been too? Assume it is a horse ring of sorts?
