Fluorescent finds from Lake Michigan in winter (photo heavy)

With the mild and basically snowless start to winter here in SE WI I was able to go out up until almost the last week of January looking for fluorescent rocks. Since then we have been slammed with storm after storm dropping a quite a bit of snow, so probably wont get back out until sometime in march hopefully. Here is some of what I found in Dec and Jan. Not quite sure what is making the first rock( a small chip really) fluoresce, calcite I suppose. Thx

Love those specimens! Really cool. If I might ask, what type of lamp are you using, and what lighting mode do you use taking your photos? Really great stuff. Thanks.

Thx, I forgot to add the UV source, its a Convoy2 filtered LED flashlight. For most of the images I used just a long exposure and the UV light to light the rocks, Image #7 had some fill flash.

Love those specimens! Really cool. If I might ask, what type of lamp are you using, and what lighting mode do you use taking your photos? Really great stuff. Thanks.
