I did some city Park detecting in North Wilmington on and off for about 20 years. I did actually find a 1877 Indian Head penny at Rockford Park years ago before it became a State park. Unfortunately the condition was less than Good. Sorry i don't have a pic currently i can show. I also found a 1929 Standing Liberty Quarter in the Bancroft Parkway area in Beautiful almost Uncirculated condition. I use to work at Immanual Episcopal Church in New Castle area doing some Grounds work part time years ago and did some detecting around the old school house and found some Indian Heads, a Eagle "A "Military Button, some Merc's, etc. Most of these areas are Off Limits to Detectorist including Battery Park . I used many detectors in the past mostly White's but im tring other brands like Tesoro and Garrett. I'm trying out a Tesoro Vaquero now. I did become a Tesoro and Garrett Dealer about 8 month's ago so i have a chance to try some of these models out. Any Detectorist near New Castle/ Wilmington area, etc. want to treasure talk feel free to contact. I love metal detecting but i haven't done much lately do too being too busy getting things done around the house as well as working. Happy Treasure Hunting !
