I jope you don't mind but I did a little editing on your photos so my old eyes could see them better. I have never seen a mechanism like the one on yours. Also, is the face made like that or is part of it peeling off?

I see acorns birds and flowers, but it doesn't appear to be a belt buckle per-se Im stumped. The style is very old though, I like it!
