Went hunting today on a lot where they tore down an old house. I have been hunting it for the last three days. In 40+ years of detecting, I have never had days like these. So far I have found four silver dollars from 1921 to 1976. I have also found several other silver Quarters and Dimes. There are so many targets (both good and bad) it is difficult hunting. Every time I go I find something I had missed before. Here are the dollars I have found. These are the FIRST silver dollars I have ever found and I am EXCITED !!!:occasion14:

That's what I figure happened. They died and the house was left to deteriorate. No one went in it because of the condition. The house was furnished and loaded with their possessions. Most of the money went to the dump when they carried the debris away.

Sure would like to check where they hauled off the house to!

My o my....fantastic!
The condition of the coins lead me to believe they were stashed in the home, forgotten about, then got mixed up and lost in the debris. No telling what may have gotten hauled off...but you got yourself a great spot!
I've been hitting a recent tear down of a 1914 hose, their specialty was clad dimes for some reason.

No question these were stored in the house and spilled out when the house was razed. That's great you saved them from oblivion. Gotta love the artwork in those peace dollars. What the key date for those again? There's one with a few examples of high-relief features but it kept wrecking the die so they canned it. I think it's a '21 or '22. They're worth a fortune in the uncirculated grades.

Wound up with a total of five so far. Funny thing is, some of the signals were barely readable. Guess that was because of the amount of metal trash in the ground. That's why it took three days to recover the ones I found. I had expected much stronger and repeatable signals from something as large as a Silver Dollar. As they say "live and learn".

Now I am lost but what is new? Your first post said 4 and your post on the second page added 2. So how do you get five out of six?

What was confusing was, I counted a Eisenhower Dollar as a Silver Dollar . I found five actual Peace and Morgan Silver Dollars. I was told the Eisenhower didn't count (even though I was quite happy with that one also). Hope this clears up any confusion.
