1st time out with my own machine and 1st time out in about 10 years. Went to hunt a 1795 25 acre homestead. Dug about a million nails. Most were square nails. A lot of junk metal. Had one hole I'm not sure what it is. Its in the 1st pic . After breaking both my cheap shovels digging around a huge maple pulled out a 1901 indian head penny. Still a lot of area for me to hunt so hopefully ill have a few more good finds.

All of these finds indicate you're on a good spot. Depending upon your machine, you will soon be able to leave the nails in the ground and go for the good stuff!

I agree with it being a good spot, any time you find an iron patch, that's were you need to concentrate your efforts. Congrats on the Indian head and other cool relics.

You definitely in a good spot, nice start!!
In that bottom pic it looks like an old lantern piece. Can you get a date off that little disc to adjust your wick height?

A great outing!
Congrats on gettin out .
Nice Indian head cent and relics.
Your 350 can discrim iron nails while still letting you know they are there ,but can not always tell you what is under the nails.
With an absence of foil ,bottle caps, and pull tabs, I'd dig nails just to be sure nothing below them is being missed.
Bent nails and nails heads up cause me more time re-sweeping them usually than it takes to recover them ,so they get dug quick if questionable.

I cleaned it up pretty good but I didn't see and kind of markings on it. I don't mind digging the nails. Figure the more I dig now the less ill hit the next time through. Hoping to find some silver on my next hunt there. 220yrs of people someone must have dropped something
