I got another new permission and like most it's been pounded over the years. There's still 3 others searching this same property now. I started off solo then the kid joined me.
I started off finding a couple Indians, buff, v-nickel and a couple wheats. Just before the kids showed up I dug a 1909 barber dime.
After the kid got there we moved to a new area I hadn't hit yet. We started finding a lot of shell casings, wheats and trash.
About an hour later I got a 81-82 hit, the same hit I got the barber dime on. Usually a silver dime rings up at 84?
Anyway, I dig a plug and there lays a 1941 merc. The kid comes over to check it out and 5' away he gets a good silver hit. When he flips a plug he has a small silver spill. He see's a silver quarter laying in the hole, when he picks it out there was a war nickel laying under it. After picking the OD nickel out there was a wheat laying under it.
After the silver finds there was more wheats, trash and little odd and ends.
Then I get another barber, this one a 1907 and in great shape.
Another slow period running into a clad section, I got 12 clad quarters alone. Swinging along the kid hollers over I got gold!!
We were both digging low tones all day and this hit finally paid off, 18k gold pendant.
Some where along the line the kid also dug two v-nickels, 1892 and a 1903.
Not a bad day...

If in doubt... clean with very hot water and some dish soap perhaps a quick toothbrush / brush scrub... and take some macro / closup pics and post em up.

I will let you know what you have.
