Wondering if anyone might have some insight, told to post this here,

Found this quartz in a vein that tree roots had broken up, so required little work. Found in southwestern Ontario close to Manitoba border in quartz, its vein lies in basalt/schist. Want to know what the crystals are and what type of mineralization would be present if it’s good gold ore or not. I’ll bust some up and sample it but just thought I’d share and see if anyone recognizes or can identify the crystals, thanks a lot for any help. Seems to be slightly magnetic to rare earth magnet. Maybe magnetite, hope for my health it’s not Uraninite.

Pretty sure it's garnet var. andradite var. melanite (calcium iron silicate possibly w/titanium) - slightly different appearance from typical dodecahedral garnets as it's in the cubic crystal system
