I was fortunate enough to be given two beds in exchange for helping someone with a move. I believe both are antique. Unfortunately I don't know much about furniture. Any help or opinions would be greatly appreciated. I'll post (2 separate posts)as many photos as possible. If there is a need for a more detailed photo please let me know. The mattress that would fit would be approximately 70 X 50 inches. Thanks for looking.

Are the wheels wooden? If so I would say it is made by a craftsman and not factory so I would think it has some age to it. Are there any fasteners nails or screws you can get pictures of, that could help date it.

The wheels are wooden. They are only on the side that would be against the wall during the day and used to pull the bed away from the wall at night for sleeping. The wood inlays are also only on the side that faces out during the day. The only nails I can find are the ones on the rails. (The rails that hold the slats) They are what I would call rose heads or square nails. I believe hand made as no two are the same. The rest is mortise and tenon style joinery. Likewise the iron hardware also appears to be handmade.
