How close together can you operate 2 Discovery 3300s?

How close together can you operate 2 Discovery 3300's?

I'm looking at picking up closeout of Radio Shack Discovery 3300 for son. How close can 2 similar detectors operate without causing interference. At the price ($100) thought about picking up a second one for my other son/self to share. (newbie question)

I think the manual states- -20 ft from another Detector--

I know it would be a lot more than 20 feet, I have never used my 3300 right next to an other 3300. I would say that 40 feet might be the answer. I can tell you I have used my 3300 almost next to a 2200 and I used it pretty close to a Sharp Shooter with no problems. Almost all the newer White's units like Mxt and Dfx made the 3300 crazy at over 20 feet. I know someone who has an Ace and a 3300 and he uses them in the same areas without much problems.
