It would be nice to ship everything up to Nome AK but of course but this is not really a viable alternative for most people. So what would be a good distance or is distance not neccessarily the answer.

Perhaps just getting the coins into another processors "system" will work.

Do you think it is worth while to dump dimes or nickels at a distant location or does the shear number of these coins in circulation make such step more trouble then there worth.

I only found this forum last month so if this is a topic that is asked over and over again sorry but I was interested in everyone's thoughts on the issue

My dump bank is 150 feet from my house, my pickup bank is 1 block from my house. Works out perfect.

I am guessing they are different banks.

Around my there are literally Chase banks on either side of the same street. That goes for BofA and Wells Fargo also

I dump 95% of my rejects within 20 miles of my house and all of my pickups are within 10 miles.

Yea, I really don't discriminate.

I've marked a few obvious coins and have not seen one back.

How close is your federal reserve branch? Unless you can dump from one district into another I dont think it matters one bit.
