I am working on putting my metal detector coil on a smaller ROV that I control through my laptop. Normal use is for exploring shallower depths of water with a live camera feed in real time. It can go 100 feet without the coil so im working on using a shorter water depth at first, say 10 to 15 feet. Great for rivers i hope and then on to bigger bodies of water. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I am going to be looking to search for lost treasures in the near future. I am open to searching for you for a percentage.

I thought I was the only nut case that wanted to try this, but glad to see I am not alone in thinking along these lines.

No plans to build one yet only wondering if it really could be practical in use.

How do you plan to recover any objects that are detected ? My idea is with water jets . How large a unit are you using ?

What power ? Tracks or wheels , free swimming, Lights, camera action!

Any photos of what you have at this time ?
