I found this sterling bracelet back around 2019 diving in Connecticut in 15 feet of water. Over the years since then I've spent hours looking for the owner with no luck. around the same time, I found another sterling bracelet with the entire name on it but on the back, it was engraved "Army". When I returned it, I learned that it was another kind of identification probably purchased by the veteran themselves. That one was easy, this one not so much. The name is "James S Ashman", and the number on the back is 248-79-80. I'm guessing that number is a service number. If I can return it, I'll give you credit also for helping. Thanks

The bracelet seems typical to the WW2 era ID bracelets. Sure hope your successful in returning it back to a family member of Mr. Ashman

If the bracelet does belong to the individual listed above, hopefully other family members can be found and contacted. I'm sure they would cherish to have this back. Good luck.

I think we're on our way to identifying Mr. Ashman. Thank you for the help, I'll let you know where it leads.
