Identification of a Chinese vase

Picked this up at a yard sale twenty years ago. A friend said it was Chinese characters, but it was an older style and she couldn't read them. Based on my research and a few guesses, I think it is a Chinese earthenware sake vase. There are six matching cups (not pictured). Attached are two views of the vase. There is writing on all sides. I can post more pictures if needed. Any help with what is written or other information is appreciated.

Any leads on how to google translate Chinese characters?

Just tidying up some blasts from the past (including some very ancient ones), largely for the benefit of anyone searching the site for information.

Nice, but Japanese, not Chinese. This one has an original label on the base, showing the maker (or possibly exporter) to be PCDG Japan. I don’t know who that is, but the mark is said to be mid-20th century. I’ve seen the same mark accompanied by the word “Pacific” on other wares.
