The ones I consistently get (and lose in the couch) cost about $20. They have a triplet lens and a nice leather case. The lower prices ones don't do it for me.

I have a nice 40x brass one I dug up at a flea market. My wife has purchased 40x lighted ones for less than 8 from Amazon. Some times the switches go wonky.

Thanks you guys, now i got to know what i am looking for lol i have been watching a lot of videos on looking for quarts in mountain rock out crops. I know where a few are some have the white quarts squirting out from sandwiched deposits. When it warms up i will give it a shot, thanks again for the info.
