Hello all hope you have been out swinging.
The bramble is high and thick most spots all closed in
But I have a few go to sites.
These finds are what I find on a normal day
I usually only post the good stuff because that's what we all love to find and read about
But. The truth is I dig this stuff everyday !!99 percent trash.
But ahh that 1 percent is worth the work
Thanks for reading hh gl

I like this post. Usually all we see are the great finds, and we all love that. But this shows the reality of what it takes to get them. I'd say this is an average hunt for most of us.

I keep my standards low so I'm never disappointed.[emoji12]
Glad you got out and enjoyed the addiction [emoji106]

I had to quit the hobby due to the massive amount of infected ticks here. I got one of the diseases 4 weeks ago and could not walk, then my arms gave out 3 days later. It took 10 minutes to get into bed and get my legs in, and put a chair next to the bed so I could try to pull myself off the bed...until my arms failed. Took almost a week to get better, and got bit 3 times since.

I hunt old stuff in the woods, so out of desperation last weekend I did a MODERN (yuk) town walking trail where dozens of dogs leave their sent on pet walks. I figured the deer would never go there, but got another deer tick.

At my age, I can't do poisons on me, so I quit.

I like looking at other peoples finds almost as much.

No water near you? No tics, poison ivy or oak and lots of things to find. I don't hunt land this time of year at all. My E-trac is put away till the water gets too cold again. My water hunts are sometimes trashy but not too much most the time.

Great post!
Life is not all goodies all the time. You're keep'n it real!
I celebrate that!
The small stuff is what i normally get :)
If i ever came up with anything banner worthy...it may not be healthly for me :D

Great finds are good motivation, and nice to look at, but when they become the obsessions of every hunt it kind of defeats the purpose and becomes your task master, and the thing you loved, you no longer enjoy, its now a job.

Great insight Beep. All very true!

I enjoy hunting with Charlie because he's always positive and upbeat. Whenever we hunt we constantly dig colonial: pull tabs, cans, hub caps, zincolns, shotgun shells, etc...

I'm glad you got out Charlie. We'll hit that permission on Friday and do some sifting for colonial Coke caps and bolts

I thought that I was the only one digging nothing but trash!

Thanks for the insight Charlie.

I am certain that another killer find is just around the corner for you. Best of luck brother!
