My hunting buddy found this killer 3 1/2 “ dalton some 20 plus years ago. Back in the days you could walk behind scrapers. They had scraped off about four feet down that day. My buddy got out his broom stick and nail tool. He started poking the ground behind the earth movers. He had been poking for nearly 8 hours. just about when he was ready to call it a day when he got a hit. He pulled out a beautiful tip. thinking there might be more he pulled out the base. He was one happy camper. Even though it was broke in two I think it was one of the nicest daltons I’ve seen. That's a nice relic. The break is not hardly visible without the backlight and looks to be a very clean break.
