Ok not my car, but this was at the Iola car show a few weeks back. It's a tracked Model T with skis. Apparently you could get this kit back in the day and apply it to many different vehicles. It ran great and the aooga horn sounded awesome.

Some very nice rides here. My question is do you drive them or just go to shows and cruise-ins? My one drivable car I use when ever i feel like it. The other two are still projects but it won't be long before I can
put number two on the road for a shakedown cruise.

@fyrffytr1 I drive my Ellie as often as i can. GTO is great but they all are. Chevy number 2 looks awesome is it a 53? And is number 3 a 39 chevy? I'm no expert but those are my guess' all need to be on the road. 👍

This crappy photo was taken with an "Instamatic" camera of my project back in the late 1960's. Sadly, this is the only photo I have of it. I ended up in a period of hard times and had to sell it to make ends meet. She ran like a champ though when I sold it.

The Jag is my daily driver and it will remain that way. The Mercedes, which I didn't include as one of my classics although it technically is since it's 29 years old, had been my previous daily driver but is now a back-up car in case it's ever needed. I don't remember the last time I drove it. The MG (which was my daily driver in the '80s) and 356 are only driven in nice weather, but not just to shows--they're no fun just sitting in the garage.

I will forgive you this time, but don't let it happen again! :laughing7: Chevy #2 is a 1950 Pontiac Streamliner and #3 is a 1939 Pontiac Series 28 sedan. Both have running straight 8 motors and 3 speed manual transmissions.

I love old cars. The new ones may be technically superior, but they just don't have the "soul" that cars used to have.

Here is my son's first car, a 1972 Opel GT. We're still working on it. (His daily driver is a 2011 Camaro convertible with a monster V8 and 6-speed manual transmission. I'm jealous.)

After he go the GT, I happened on another, also a 1972, but a different color. Also a work in progress. Maybe one of these days we can cruise someplace together.

Here's my "old old" truck -- a 1946 Chevy body with several customizations and powered by a 1949 Ford flathead V8 motor. Currently a rat rod, but I hope to spiff it up and get it back to shiny sometime.

Finally, here's my "new old" truck, a 1997 Ford F250 "heavy half". The others are driven rarely, this one I drive all the time. (I know 1997 isn't all that old, but it's old enough to qualify for "classic" tags, though I just have normal tags on it).

@FreeBirdTim hey i painted my first car in the yard too... but it was an 89 cherokee and i used rattle cans Lol. The runner looks great.

I was almost to the point of doing that! No one would paint it for less than 7k, which I couldn't afford. I did eventually go with a quality in violet metallic paint and a decent paint sprayer. The base coat wasn't too hard to apply, but the clear coat was a pain. The clear coat also killed about a million of my brain cells! Nasty stuff! I was stoned for days after I painted the car! Not a good high, either! Probably should have worn a respirator instead of just a dust mask! Lol! Live and learn...

This is me with my 68 Mustang in high school. My Dad gave me the car when I was 15, by 16 I had rebuilt the engine and got it painted.

40 years later, here is the same car. It sat in storage for 35 years. The whole front corner was rotted out by a leaky battery so I had to replace all the metal.

And now it's with a professional paint & body guy, he's replaced the floor pans and some other metal.

I'm putting in a 302 Mexican block with 351W heads and a T5. Upgrading the front to disc brakes. Currently looking for a 9" rear. Long way to go still.

Just found this photo...unfortunately not my car.

Me in our rental car in Hawaii for my honeymoon in 1986. I almost bought one just before the pandemic but maintenance costs are astronomical for these so decided it wasn't something I wanted to deal with. I sometimes regret that decision.
