What looks to you like an additional notch on the right in the first picture is , I think, just damage to the edge.

What you have there is a well used knife with a spokeshave on the blade. So it is actually a knife with a tool notch and it is there on purpose I have some if you want me to add an example? It might take a few days if you say yes work is getting crazy.

You don't have too. I follow what you are saying. Sometimes a few additional sets of eyes can clear things up. I've been at it for 4 years but still have a lot to learn. Thank You.
